Revise Notes was built with a simple belief: powerful study tools should not cost money, require an account, or demand access to your personal data. Whether you are a student who cannot afford a subscription or simply someone who does not want to hand over their documents to the internet,Revise Notes is for you.

What Revise Notes does

Upload your lecture notes, textbook chapters, or any document you are studying, and Revise Notes uses AI to help you understand the content faster:

Ask — ask questions about your documents and get instant, context-aware answers.
Notes — generate structured revision notes from your material. Edit and save them to your liking, and download as a PDF.
Quiz — test your knowledge with auto-generated multiple-choice questions based on what you actually uploaded.
Flashcards — study with AI-generated flashcard decks drawn from your material, with spaced-repetition-style review.

Your data stays with you

Everything you upload or generate is stored only in your browser using IndexedDB — a local database built into your device. Your raw files are never uploaded to any server. When you clear your browser data, all stored content is gone — from your machine alone.

When you use an AI feature (Notes, Ask, Quiz, Flashcards), the extracted plain text of your documents is sent to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini and OpenAI) via our server, which acts as a secure proxy. This is necessary to generate AI responses. We do not log or store that text — it is processed and discarded within each request. No other data leaves your device.

We do not create accounts. We do not track you. We do not know who you are or what you are studying.

⚠️ Important: When you use AI features, the extracted plain text of your documents is sent to Google Gemini and OpenAI for processing. Do not upload sensitive information (passwords, financial records, personal IDs, confidential work documents) — treat any content you upload as potentially being processed by these third-party providers.

How Revise Notes stays free

Running AI services has a cost. Revise Notes covers its costs entirely through non-intrusive advertising via Google AdSense. Ads are served based on impressions and clicks — not based on your personal data or what you study. We do not build a profile about you.

The ad slot may set cookies on your device as part of how AdSense operates. This is the only external tracking present in the app. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Open and honest

Revise Notes has no venture backing, no paid tier, and no plans to sell your data. The goal is simply to provide genuinely useful study tools and keep them accessible to anyone with a browser.
